Adopted on October 3rd, 2010, the description said he was a 9-10 month old mixed breed. He was set to be euthanized at Memphis Animal Services because he was so sick and matted. Fortunately he was rescued and nursed back to health by a local rescue group and he was adopted from there. Since his adoption, he's not only turned into a beardedly handsome dog, but he's also learned many tricks, visited children at schools around the area, and has mastered his version of Blue Steel for photographs.
In 2014, Katie set out to combine her hobby of photography, the love for her dog, and the admiration for Memphis into one big project which became The Year of the Dog: 52 Weeks of Memphis. When not photographing Loki around town, Katie is a professional photographer at Kathryn Willis Photography and works as a veterinary technician for an animal hospital in Cordova.
